Welcome to Roots to Grow Nature Learning. We are a community of learners, based in beautiful Yarrow, BC. From Kindergarten to Grade 5 we share a part time nature based learning opportunity. We range from forests to farms to wetlands and through communities. Learning as we grow!

Our Mission:

• To enrich the educational experience through student-centered, nature-focused, community-based learning.

Our Vision:

• Cultivate respect for the natural world through connecting children to the land.
• Foster relationships with those who connected with the land before us and acknowledge that our programs take place on unceded Sto:lo territory.
• Create space for children to challenge their minds and bodies through child-led and experiential learning.
• Encourage regenerative/permaculture principles to environmental stewardship.
• Provide a multi-generational learning space where both children and teachers are respected as having equal value.
• Recognize the importance of arts and culture by supporting learning through visual arts and associated storytelling.
• Support the natural state of compassion based on the principals of nonviolent communication.
